Dear Friends,
Just a note to all of our friends and supporters who have been a part of our old-fashioned campmeeting over the past 19 years. After months of thought, prayers, laying out a fleece, and a time of fasting, my answer from God is to wait, and postpone campmeeting this year. Be sure this decision did not come overnight, and I have weighed all positives and negatives in every regard. I cannot say honestly that this decision is with regret or sorrow, for I have absolute peace in this matter.
As you probably know, many are having to make tough decisions in this day. We have been abundantly blessed at Victory. Honestly, we could pay for campmeeting today. We have put $400,000 into this meeting over the last 19 years, and would gladly do it again, so it is not simply a financial matter; however, that is a part of the times we live in. Our philosophy is to place the emphasis first on the things we MUST do, secondly on things we NEED to do, and thirdly on things we LIKE to do. Proverbs 21:20 says, "There is treasure to be desired and oil in the dwelling of the wise; but the foolish man spendeth it up." It is our desire to continue to make the "main thing" the main thing.
Finally, we have some who send monthly support, and we will shortly return it to you. Once again, thanks for your prayers, support and friendship. Also, to wait is not always to stop. We are saving and planning our 20th annual meeting beginning Monday, July 22, 2012.
